Pocket City

This game! It is pure addiction wrapped in awesomeness. Don’t remember how I came across this game, probably somebody tweeted about it, but once I got it I can’t stop playing it. The game it’s pretty straightforward, you are the mayor of a town and you get small quests in order to grow your city. And that’s when it becomes addicting, once you start building and expanding your city, it’s really hard to stop. I’m currently playing on my iPhone but this game clearly would be best played on an iPad (which is currently being held hostage by my 2yo). And the best part, no in-app purchases, you paid once and you play forever! LOVE IT!

DESTINY 2 on Xbox One

I know I am probably late to the party but I got myself Destiny 2 on the Xbox One. I’ve never been a huge fan of the franchise, I remember purchasing the first game and only playing it for like a week or two. Neither had any intentions of buying this game at all but it was on sale for $9.99 at Best Buy and I had a gift card, so I thought, Why not? And to my surprise, I am actually enjoying this game quite a lot. It has a much better storyline than the first game and I think that’s part of the reason why I like it so. I do like and enjoy games with a good story — or a decent one. I like the fact that even when I am participating in public events or “strikes” I still feel like I am still playing a single player campaign. It is not too difficult or complicated, I don’t feel like I am doing chores in order to level up, it’s a good experience.

I can tell I really like this game because after finishing the main story, even though you can still play much more after, I started a new character right away. I am not so much about completing every single mission, collect every single special gear/upgrades/weapons and whatnot. I am more in it for the ride and have fun playing. (But man I do suck at PvP lol)

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC

If you are someone like me, that calls yourself a gamer of sorts. You are familiar with the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Probably one of my favorite game franchises of all times, aside for Metal Gear. Their latest game, Assassin’s Creed Origins, its a must play, in my opinion. Not only because of course is AC, but I am a sucker for Egyptian mythology, I love everything and anything about it. This game's storyline takes you on a fantastic journey through ancient Egypt. Is no surprise I got so absorbed into this game the way I am. I probably have over a hundred and fifty hours invested in this game so far — love it!

This week Ubisoft released an expansion pack for Assassin’s Creed Origins, The Curse of the Pharaohs. It is the second out of two expansion packs for the game, alongside The Hidden Ones. It was amazing and creepy at the same time when I first saw one of Pharaohs coming back from the dead, and oh man, they look cool! I am probably just a few hours in into this storyline, and I have not been yet disappointed. My only complaint is the giant scorpions appearing around in the afterlife, and I don’t like scorpions at all.

Then again, I am having so much fun with this game in general. Once I finish The Curse of the Pharaohs, I will replay the whole game again, as I do, because I can’t get enough of this game.
